William Barrell, Sensei
Mr. Will began was introduced to the martial arts in the summer of 1984 by a family friend who trained in Taekwondo in Korea. Mr. Will started formal training under Tim Delaney, Sensei in Keichu Isshogai Ryu Karate in October 1984, and later under George Johnson, Sensei and Soke of Isshogai Ryu Karate-Do in March 1985. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 where he spent the next 22 plus years studying various unarmed combat related fighting systems, and gained proficiency in firearms, knives, and other improvised weapons. He trained in Army Combatives, Boxing, Kung fu, Japanese Juijitsu, Kick Boxing, and Israeli Combatives. Mr. Will traveled to 6 different continents, with multiple combat tours receiving 42 awards and decorations which include two Bronze Stars, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Valorous Unit Award, Combat Action Badge, Master EOD Badge, and expert qualifications in rifle and pistol. Mr. Will continues to train in various styles and systems and has trained in martial arts or warrior arts for over 40 years.
Mr. Will holds Dan ranks (Black Belts) in the following:
- Godan/Renshi (5th Dan) Komainu Ryu Karate-Jutsu under the Isshogai Ryu Budo/Bujutsu Renmei.
- Sandan (3rd Dan) in Isshogai Ryu Karate-Do under Soke George Johnson, 10th Dan.
- Ee dan (2nd Dan) in Tang Soo Do under Master Jon Sanbuichi, 6th Dan.
- Yondan (4th Dan) in Isshogai Ryu Goshin-Jutsu under Nidai Soke Carl Scroggs, 9th Dan.
Liam Barrell, Sensei
Mr. Liam began informal training in the martial arts under his father William Barrell in 2014 learning the fundamentals of kick boxing, Judo, and basic self defense. He started formal training under Jon Sanbuichi, Sabomnim, in January 2016. Mr. Liam started teaching young students as an assistant instructor in Tang Soo Do in 2017. Mr. Liam is versed in Karate, Judo, Kick Boxing, Israeli Haganah (combatives), as well as tactical firearms training.
Mr. Liam holds Dan Ranks (Black Belts) in the following:
- Sandan (3rd Dan) Komainu Ryu Karate-Jutsu under Sensei William Barrell, 5th Dan.
- Ee dan (2nd Dan) in Tang Soo Do under Master Jon Sanbuichi, 6th Dan.
- Shodan (1st Dan) in Isshogai Ryu Goshin-Jutsu under Nidai Soke Carl Scroggs, 9th Dan


Alyssa (Hoderfield) Barrell, Sensei
Alyssa (Hoderfield) Barrell, Sensei
Mrs. Alyssa began formal training under Jon Sanbuichi, Sabomnim, in March 2016. She started teaching young students as an assistant instructor in Tang Soo Do in 2018. Mrs. Alyssa is versed in Karate, Kick Boxing, and Israeli Haganah (combatives), and has been training in Judo/Juijitsu and other warrior skills.
Mrs. Alyssa holds Dan Ranks (Black Belts) in the following:
- Nidan (2nd Dan) Komainu Ryu Karate-Jutsu under Sensei William Barrell, 5th Dan.
- Cho dan (1st Dan) in Tang Soo Do under Master Jon Sanbuichi, 6th Dan.
